Is OpenKeyScan really free?
Yes. OpenKeyScan is free to download and use. There may be a premium version in the future, but the core analyzer engine and writing to ID3 tags will always be free.
Does it work with my DJ software?
OpenKeyScan is designed to complement popular DJ platforms such as Rekordbox, Serato, Traktor, Engine DJ and VirtualDJ. It writes key information into your audio files so compatible software can read it automatically.
Can I batch analyze my whole library?
Yes. You can drag and drop folders or large groups of files and OpenKeyScan will analyze them in batches. This makes it easy to upgrade key accuracy across your entire collection in one go.
Which operating systems are supported?
OpenKeyScan supports Windows 10 and 11 (64 bit only) and macOS 10.15 Catalina or newer. Linux support is coming soon.
Can developers contribute to the project?
Absolutely. Our analyzer engine is open source and contributions are welcome.
